 Patty is in her sixth year as a Realtor®/Broker in Tillamook County. She and her husband have had ties to the coastal towns of central Tillamook County since the 50’s. Their parents owned property in Rockaway and Netarts, and Patty has grown up experiencing the unique cultures of the towns along the beach and along Highway 101. She enjoys sharing that insight with buyers new to the area, as they consider all the choices that Tillamook County can offer them.
Before life as a real estate broker, Patty retired from teaching after 35 years. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction, from Portland State University. She taught elementary school in the David Douglas School District in Portland, and supervised the district reading program there. After moving to Tillamook in 1997, she provided school improvement training to teachers in Tillamook and Clatsop County school districts.
When asked what she likes best about her profession as a Real Estate Broker, Patty says:“Listening to my clients as they describe what they’re looking for, and then doing the research to connect them with just the right home or property to match their wishes. But, the best part, is sharing in their excitement as I give them the keys to their dream!”
Fun Facts:
Family: met her husband, Wayne, in 7th grade, married 42 years. They have one married daughter, who is also a Realtor®/Broker in the Portland area.
Honors: 2002 Tillamook Co. Realtor of the Year, past President of the Tillamook Realtors®’ Board, and MLS Chair.
Favorite vacation: a getaway to Vegas or a cruise to “anywhere”.
Cars: never saw a sporty car she didn’t like.
Music: anything from the 70’s.
Favorite reading: historical fiction. All-time favorite: Centennial, by James Michener.
Pets: Is currently owned by a cat named Panda. Once had a cat that lived 19 years, and shared the doghouse with their St. Bernard.
Someday goal: write and publish a novel.
